Live Classes – Commercial Pools

NSPF® CPO® Certified Pool Operator Certification Course
This two day, 16-hour, live instructor lead course includes a NSPF® Certified Pool-Spa Operator Handbook, NSPF® Pool Math ™ Workbook, Personal Copies of the Federal Virginia Graeme Baker Act as well as a State Pool Code, Course Certificate and CPO® Shoulder Patch. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments are also included.


NSPF® CPO® Certified Pool Operator / Fusion Course
One day, 8-hour, instructor lead course. Includes an NSPF® Pool Math™ Workbook, Personal Copies of Federal Virginia Graeme Baker Act and State Pool Code information. Once the exam has been completed with a passing grade, students will receive a Course Certificate and CPO® Shoulder Patch and NSPF® Certified Pool-Spa Operator Handbook available at an extra cost. You must provide certificate of completion from online Primer to begin this course. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments are included.


APSP® CST Certified Service Technician Course
The CST Certified Service Technician program is a 3 ½ day instructor lead course that does not require prior work experience. However, this course is much more in-depth than the Certified Maintenance Specialist program. You should have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in pool and spa service and repair to pass the exam and receive certification.

The exam requires the application of technical knowledge to situations encountered in the field; a level of technical knowledge that only comes with on-the-job experience. You do not need to have completed the CMS certification in order to attend this course and sit for the CST exam, but you will be expected to have acquired the core knowledge covered in that course. The exam for this course is a 2-hour open book exam with 100 multiple choice questions. You must score a 75 or better in order to receive certification.


NSPF® Aquatic Risk Management Course

A 2-hour instructor lead course. Includes a NSPF® Aquatic Risk Management Handbook, Personal Copies of the Federal Virginia Graeme Baker Act as well as State Pool Code and Course Certificate. Breakfast is included.

This course is a must for Pool Owners and Boards and Property Managers. Managing and safely maintaining a swimming pool demands a great deal of knowledge, management, time, effort and money. Our Aquatic Risk Management Course will assist you with minimizing liability, Emergency Response Planning, proper disinfection and sanitization. You will also learn how the Federal Virginia Graeme Baker Act, Florida Swimming Pool Code and the Fecal Incident Response recommendations from the National Center for Disease Control affect you.


NSPF® Emergency Response Planning Course
The 1-hour instructor lead course provides students with a NSPF® Aquatic Management Series, Volume 2 of Emergency Response Planning, a Handbook and a Course Certificate. Breakfast is included.

Employers have a responsibility to outline emergency response procedures in emergency plans. Employees have a responsibility to follow those plans. In this training course, you will learn what is required in such a plan and your responsibilities regarding the plan, training and requirements for alarm systems, fire prevention plans and measures, emergency vehicle access and exit routes as well as aquatic emergency response plans. You will also learn the employee responsibilities of responding to weather-related disasters, natural disasters, bomb threats, fire, workplace violence, and hazard material spills. This course is a must for Pool Owners as well as Boards, Property and Facility Managers.

 Live Classes – Residential Pools

APSP® CMS Certified Maintenance Specialist Course
The 20-hour course is lead by an APSP® Certified Maintenance Specialist and includes a 464-Page Service Tech Manual, CMS Workbook, Study Guide and a Course Certificate upon completion. Includes breakfast, lunch and refreshments. Advanced workbook study is highly recommended.

The course educates service and maintenance professionals, including new and seasonal employees. The curriculum is focused on Safety, Pool Circulation and Filtration, Pool Maintenance, and Water Quality, with details extending to electrical systems, pool structures and finishes, heaters and controls, and customer service.

 


 

APSP® CST Certified Service Technician Course
The three and a half day instructor lead course does not require that you meet work experience pre-requisites, but, please understand, this course is much more in-depth than the Certified Maintenance Specialist Program.
